the most underrated way of improving your mechanics
Speed training in Fortnite is all about practicing moving your arm and mouse as fast as possible to increase your ability to move quickly, this should have a positive improvement on your overall mechanics and piece control as well as your ability to complete hard edits and get out of bad situations. It is completely normal to feel off after speed training because you are changing your send so I HIGHLY recommend not doing it on tournament days and to complete it as part of a full warmup routine found in the Solos Masterclass 5.0
To Start you need to half your in game sensitivity on the slider. I play on 9.2% 800 DPI so I go down to 4.6%. Make sure to use arrow keys as you go up and down senses so it is exact and don't swap your DPI.
If you are bad at maths for example and played on 6.8% open a calculator and multiply your sens by x.5 so you would be on 3.4%
Head to Raider’s Mechanics Training V4 (Map Code:8135-1582-8472)
- Tunnels (Classic): 5 mins. Move slowly through this and build up your consistency with every edit.
- Free Build: 5 mins. Practice everything you would do normally retakes, high walls, tarping, close edits etc
After completing this training go back to your normal sens and practice something that requires you to be precise such as 200 pump Map Code: (2942-4709-2520) so you adjust back to what will now feel like a really high sens. Your aim will feel off but do not have a sens crisis this is completely normal.
