How to Get God Tier Mechanics in Under 1 Hour

This Easy To Follow Mech Routine Will Transform you

Improving your Fortnite Edit and Build mechanics is all about increasing consistency both with timing of your clicks and crosshair placement to be as efficient as possible.

To do this we are going to use two different Raider464 training maps:

Raider’s Mechanics Training V3 (Code: 6464-0829-5975)

Start on the Edit Towers section. Start slow, and gradually build up speed. You should start around 70% of your max speed, then work up to 100% without missing edits. If you find doing a single tile edit down is too easy, you can also try doing a two-tile edit (editing the floor in half)

Immediately after, you’ll want to head to Raider’s Mechanics Training V4 for the rest of this routine: Raider’s Mechanics Training V4 (Code: 8135-1582-8472)

Starting with the Edit Training section, we’re going to select ALL edits and set the drill to the ‘moving’ selection.

This challenges you by putting your character model at different and unique angles that are much more challenging than angles you’d see in game, which will allow you to be much more consistent with your edits in game. We’re going to do this for about five (5) minutes.

Next up, we’re going to run through the Peek Training section of the map. There are several different options with which to customize your experience and the difficulty of the scenario.

I recommend going on the hardest setting you can tolerate, whilst still being able to make good peeks and hit the bot without returning damage. For some of you, you may be able to crank the settings all the way up to the hardest difficulty, and some might need the easiest options. All are fine, provided you are practicing peeks that are optimal and allow you to deal damage without receiving it. Spend 5 minutes here focusing on not taking damage at all.

After you finish here, head to the Free Build section and we are going to use the movement speed multipliers to change how challenging this is for you. Rather than free build before doing this routine it's better to do the above mech training first to as it allows you to warm up different aspects of your mechanics and be a lot more consistent and creative.

  • Start with the .8x Speed for 5 minutes

Here, I want you to focus on being consistent with your edits and crosshair placement, and challenge yourself to try new moves that you maybe haven’t before. The slower speed is great for starting to implement new piece control and retake techniques that you aren’t 100% comfortable with.

  • Next move to 1x Speed for 5 minutes again

Here, I want you to challenge yourself to focus on moves that would be effective in-game, such as setting up cross piece, ramp flips, triple down edits, etc. Practice not just moving through your builds at full speed, but also practicing ways you can set up diagonal angles to catch opponents off guard in game. Visualization of fighting an imaginary opponent is key.

  • Finally move up to 1.2x Speed for another 5 minutes

Here, really focus on your ability to stay consistent with moves you already know. On 1.2x, it’s really going to challenge your mouse speed as well as the speed at which you are able to press your keybinds. Do your best to be as quick as possible without making editing/building mistakes.

After free building we’re going to focus on moving those piece control techniques we were practicing into the Piece Control X Peek Training.

Here, each setting that you see underneath the play button is going to decrease the amount of time you have to peek before the bot shoots back at you. Just like the standard peek training, here you want to practice setting up good peeks and not taking damage. The biggest difference here is that you have to practice all elements of your mechanics in order to set up good peeks, and you have a bot to ‘read’ so that you can understand how to make effective peeks in game. Do this for 10 minutes straight.

Next go to the Tunnels (Targets) for the final 10 minutes of training.

Here, focus on trying to cover as much of each individual box or segment of the tunnel as possible WITHOUT LOSING MOMENTUM. When you approach a segment with a bot present, again, try to make the most effective peek possible and continue to move through the scenario while losing as little momentum as possible.

That's it, the very first day you complete this routine you might be more fatigued when playing but you should notice and instant improvement in your consistency and speed. For the best results possible stick to this as the first part of your warmup for 2 weeks at least and you will be transformed as a player in that time.
